Job description:

We are looking for a motivated Finance & Accounting intern who will join our rapidly-growing team. Are you interested in learning how to run general accounting services? Would you like to master maintaining and expanding the financial health of a business? Then join us! In this role, you will learn more about financial modeling, analysis, and reporting; and make an impact on the team’s success by contributing to daily tasks such as bookkeeping and preparing reports. You will also get the chance to learn more about various accounting duties such as measuring, processing, and communicating financial and non-financial information. To succeed in this role, you should have an aptitude for math and proficiency with relevant spreadsheet software (e.g. Excel). You will also need strong verbal and written communication skills in order to coordinate with related departments such as Warehouse, Logistics, and HR.



Who are you?


1.  Studying toward a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or another related field of
study.
2.  Professional proficiency in English (working language in the office) is a must; bilingual
proficiency in Dutch or Chinese is a plus.
3.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel is a must.
4.  Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. Xero) is advantageous.
5.  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; as well as excellent administrative and
organizational skills are necessary.
6.  Attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and excellent communication skills are all
essential to this position.
7.  Availability of 4-5 days per week for a period of 5 months is preferred.
8.  Working legibility in the Netherlands is preferred.


What will you be working on?


1. Recording financial transactions into organized accounts.
2. Checking invoices and transferring payments.
3. Assisting with controlling accounts receivables and payables while managing office assets.
4. Ensuring the validity of records by reconciling company accounts as you gain more
experience.
5. Providing help with day-to-day tasks such as collecting documents, purchasing office
supplies, and other daily accounting & administrative tasks.
6. Assisting with the bookkeeping and distribution of office amenities (laptops, mobile phones,
etc.).
7. Ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, making sure that the final figures on
statements are correct.
8. Assisting with the preparation of financial reports such as profit & loss statements.
9. Monitoring any discrepancies in payment.
10.Assisting with the balancing of the office and department budget.
11. Helping with planning the budget for various company events in coordination with the HR
department.
12.Opportunity to coordinate with related departments such as HR, Marketing, and Wholesale.
