Pre-sales Engineer

1. Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the firm.
2. Secures input from all necessary solution stakeholders within the customer firm. Adapts solutions, as necessary, to ensure appropriate support.
3. Coordinates closely with the sales teams, after sales and service resources to align solution design with customers’ business requirements.
4. Secures from customer technical staff commitments needed to ensure a deal’s “technical close.”
5. Provides coaching and professional development to team-member sales associates in order to enhance their product knowledge, technical knowledge, and technical sales skills.
6. Monitors customer support for technical solutions proposed throughout the sales process, and alerts the sales and account teams to potential risks of deal closure.
7. Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain products or services to customers and prospective customers.
8. Prepare, organize and deliver technical (product) training sessions for both external and internal customers.
9. Supporting the sales process with pre-sale design, drawings, documentation and Proof-of-Concepts.
10. Attend fairs, tradeshows and professionally participate in booth duty at various marketing related Hikvision events.
2. Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a fast growing technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base.
3. Ability to project a strong leadership image and foster a cooperative working relationship with colleagues and management.
4. Skilled at customer relations, strong business planning and implementation skills.
5. Ability to maintain positive company image and brand.
6. Well-developed written and verbal communication in Dutch and English with excellent listening and presentation skills.
7. Well-organized and able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
8. Ability to conduct well-organised training sessions and convey technical information clearly at all levels.
9. Ability to work well under pressure and effectively handle peak volumes of work.
10. Must be prepared for travel 50-75% of the time within NL region, occasionally BE and LU region.
11. Driving license B.
