Job responsibilities:
In your role as Ocean Import Operation, you will be responsible but limited to, for the following:
  1. Confirm all shipment information with origin to initiate shipment;
  2. Receive and validate customers order including shipping documents, credit application etc.;
  3. Review/update; verify fees, customer profile, SOP, and rates per quote or customer SOP/work instructions;
  4. Arrange shipments from A-Z according to given timeline and customer requirements in the most efficient and compliant way;
  5. Verify shipment status, review pre-alert and verify shipment handling instructions to operations;
  6. Serve as a liaison between different internal and external parties regarding shipment details and/or exception;
  7. Communicate and resolve problems that arise in the movement of product;
  8. Oversee and ensure proper tracking and tracing shipment, keeping customers well informed of any updates;
  9. Bill on time, zero demurrage mind set, detention, exam fees and etc.

Job requirements:
  1. Minimum 1 year Ocean Imports/Exports experience in the freight forwarding or International Supply Chain industry preferred;
  2. Strong Understanding of Ocean Import regulations and documents;
  3. Knowledge of Incoterms;
  4. Knowledge of customs clearances;
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven office environment;
  6. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively;
  7. Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
